My Conflict Management Philosophy Essay

Everyone has to deal with conflict at least once per week. Conflict helps to try and put ourselves in other person’s perspective. It is important to ask question and listen the other person’s point of view. If we know what their interpretation of the situation is, then it is easier to work out a solution. I had faced all these by myself before. On the last Sunday afternoon, mother asked me to go out to buy the lunch. Unwillingly, I take the money that mother gave me then go out from the house. I went to the coffee shop that nearby my house to buy the lunch. On the way I go back to my house, I saw an accident happened at the road that nearby my house. I saw a motorcycle was hit by a car. There are some passengers went nearer to see what was happened including me. Surprisingly, I saw my friend, which was Kevin was lie down beside the motorcycle. I quickly go to support him and let him to sit on a side. After make sure that he did not had any serious injured, then I ask him to explain to me the whole matter. Originally, Kevin wanted to use the straight road, suddenly a car on his right hand side turned to the left. Kevin had no time to dodge then hit by that car’s driver who did not give signal when she turned to the left. As a result, Kevin was fall down with his motorcycle. Luckily Kevin just has a bit scratch on his hand and leg. On the other hand, the car’s door was dent. For the car’s driver, she was safe and just was shocked. The car’s driver quickly gets out from the car. The car’s driver was very angry when she saw her car was dent. She asked Kevin to pay for her loss. Kevin stand up and negotiating with the car’s driver. Kevin explained to the car’s driver that actually that is her false. According to the road’s law, when a driver would like to turn a corner he or she should have to put a signal. Car’s driver did not accept Kevin’s explanation. She not only did not want compensate for the loss of Kevin, instead, she asked Kevin to pay for her loss. To solve this problem, Kevin suggested reporting to the police. The car’s driver accepted this suggestion. While wait for the police, one of passenger with her fast motion, walk to our direction and took out some medicine from her first aid kit. Actually, she is a St. John Ambulance member. She used her professional experience to help Kevin to sterilize and put some medicine on his wound. After 10 minutes more, police was came. The police men asked Kevin and the car’s driver narrate the whole process. They explained whole event to the police men. From that, the police men realise that the car’s driver’s confession had some problems. After that the police men continually asked the car’s driver some related questions. The car’s driver was leak out what she did when she was driving. The car’s driver was honest and told the police men what her did when she was driving. When she was driving, she did not paid attention because she was answering the phone and she did not give signal when she turned to the left. After police men know the whole process, police man told the car’s driver that according to the road’s law, when a driver would like to turn a corner she should have to put a signal. Then the police man gave the car’s driver penalty ticket and asked her not to break the rules again. After received the penalty ticket, the car’s driver walked in front of the Kevin. She paid for his loss and said sorry to him. Kevin accepted her apologized. After that, all the people were dismiss. Kevin thanked to me and that passenger, which was member of St John Ambulance for lending him a helping hand. Then, we went back to our home. In conclusion, I had learned that it is very important to discuss among each other whatever anything happen.

Cats are not good pets

Who would ever in their right mind want a cat as a pet? Cats are the most conniving animals alive and no one should even think to keep them as a pet. There are some people who have a large number of cats in their house at one time and continue adding to the number and that is Just ridiculous. Cats can carry around a foul smell or odor and shed their hair which gets everywhere it should not be. There is also a lot of money that can be involved with investing in supplies, health and food or a cat.If anyone has a cat for a pet they should be ready to take full responsibility of the cat and all of the downfalls that come with it. If anyone owns a cat in their house then they should really consider neutering the rambunctious mammal because there is an overpopulation of cats in America. There should be a limit of how many cats a person can have in their home. â€Å"It is impossible to determine how many stray dogs and cats live in the United States; estimates for cats alone range up to 70 million† (ASPIC, 2012).If anyone owns a cat then it should be mandatory that the cat should be spayed and neutered with random inspections. Pets can be very expensive and America is currently in a recession for the people who are unaware. â€Å"The average cost of basic food, supplies, medical care and training for a dog or cat is $600 to $900 annually† (CAPS, 2012). If people do not have enough money to eat a decent meal and have ten cats at home then it is simple math. Get rid of the cat! Although some may see cats as cute and cuddly Just remember that they are very neck animals and cannot be trusted.Burning a hole into your pocket for an animal that cannot be trusted is a complete waste of money and resources. â€Å"About 78. 2 million dogs and about 86. 4 million cats are owned in the United States† (CAPS, 2012). This means that there are some animals that do not need to be around. There are too many animals that are living on the streets and taking up space . Many Americans are living on the streets and unable to find food, clothes to wear or shelter and we are worried about cats.

Big Band Jazz

Across the world there are thousands of languages that we as people use to communicate with one another. Many of these languages have been developed out of others, therefore sharing similar dialects, accents, and in some cases even some words are very similar. Yet of all the languages that are spoken across the world, there is only one that is fluently spoken and understood on every continent, and that is the language of Music.Yet because this language is spoken in so many different parts of the world, in many cases the way it is spoken has a direct relation to when, ND where It Is spoken as well. This country has yielded many different types of music that have In turn, yielded different types of music. For example; from Bluegrass came modern country music, from Soul came RB and Neo-Soul, from Rock and Roll came alternative and punk rock. All of these different types of music are products of their surroundings at conception, but no other than Jazz could yield as dynamic and brilliant of a sound as Big Band Jazz.Following the rise of Dixieland Jazz in the sass was a new style performed by a large ensemble usually consisting of 10 or more players. These bands, called big bands, relied increasingly on saxophones instead of clarinets, and emphasized sectional playing. After playing with and for people and musicians at different venues, he would eventually put together what seemed to him like the perfect group of players, and they called themselves the Washingtons (after Dukes birthplace; Washington D. C. Contrary to his recent failures at sustaining a sound the people liked with a group, the Washingtons were a hit, and became very popular. They had developed a Tyler all their own that had been labeled by the press as Jungle sound . From there he went on to form his orchestra which would end up playing regularly at the famous Cotton Club in New York City. Throughout his musical career he would compose, arrange, and rearrange literally thousands of works; some for solo instruments, some for bands and orchestras, and some for himself on the piano.He would be known for his style of writing for soloists inside of his groups, knowing their capabilities and strong points. He is also known for being able to adapt to the changing times unlike any of his contemporaries. Though Louis Armstrong invented this style, it is usually more closely associated, and didnt become popular until Ella Fitzgerald would begin to use it. Ella seemed to add dazzle to scatting and clearly defined it as a vocal improvisation using phonetic sounds similar to the instrumental sounds of Jazz . Other singers added to the early ideas of scat such as Sara Vaughn who was also key in bringing Jazz, and scat into the American home, with a number of radio and TV programs .Scatting would, like many other forms of jazz, become a favorite amongst musicians audiences, and helped shape Jazz into Through people like Count Basis and his riffs, Duke Elongating and his Jungle music, and Ella Fitzgerald and her scatting was Jazz defined during an era of turbulence in the country on many fronts.
